Betül Tuncer

Hi I’m Betül Tuncer! I’m a journalist based in Washington, D.C. I currently work as a freelance producer for KFF Health News, where I create vertical videos and social media content on health policy news. Prior to this I’ve worked as a freelance producer on Capitol Hill for 535 News and as a Booker/Producer for NBC during the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. My previous experiences also include working as a news associate for CNN’s D.C. bureau where I helped production, breaking news and newsgathering teams. I got my start in journalism in local newsrooms based in Pittsburgh and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh where I double majored in Media and Professional Communications and Legal Studies, minored in Museum Studies and earned a Digital Media certificate. While in college, I worked for my student paper, The Pitt News, and took on the role of Editor-in-Chief my senior year.
